This is the backside of the Mathew S. Burrows 1890 Inn. The front is located on East First Street.
From the website: www.1890inn.com The Inn was built in 1891 for Mathew Burrows, a bachelor and owner/operator
of the Great Eastern Clothing Store at Third Avenue West and Superior
Street. Local architects, MacMillan and Radcliff were contracted to design
the home to Burrows's specifications. The design included a third floor
ballroom to accommodate the lavish parties that Burrows would host.
Last night while I was attending my business class for artists I took this photo to show of the grand windows in this old Andrew Carnegie Library which is houses the Duluth Art Institute in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth. In the background is some of the displays of my fellow students. The puppets in the background are Mary Plaster Puppets, (Earth, Wind, Fire and Water). They have traveled all over the nation.
The old library makes an interesting space for artists to work and show their work. The class was offered by the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund.
The weather was much cooler last night.

I took this photo because I was impressed with the height of the evergreen tree. This is a brick mansion which actually faces 17th Avenue East. This is a side view taken from Superior Street. This photo was taken at 8 in the morning. It was a beautiful day. A little cool, but nice.
