I took this photo today on Canal Park. We were having a storm warning. I probably should not have been out, the traffic was very light. Anyway, I thought it kinda looked like a painting rather than a photograph.
Snow was meltin. leaving this roof wet. We are expecting a blizzard tonight.
There are many of these clocks in downtown Duluth. Most of the time they don't tell the correct time. So keep you watches or cell phones.
Lakeshore Celebration Church in Lincoln Park offers a free breakfast and a free lunch. They are located in Lincoln Park, or what some call "West End" at the corner of West Third Street and 24th Avenue West, kitty-corner for Holy Family Catholic Church. I am not sure where thier parking area is located. Holy Family has a huge parking-lot. An hour after I took this photo is was snowing pretty hard, but too dark to take a photo. It looks like the snow has melted now.
It has been a day of wind, ice and rain. I am not sure what happened here. Someone mentioned that the wind broke the tree. It didn't seem like there was too much ice on it...unless it had melted. You can see how foggy is was. Also if you look past the big tree you can see the little trees which are windswept. Here is what they looked like in August. It seems the wind has not only become stronger, but it is blowing in the opposite direction.

The ice is breaking up along the North Shore. This ice had a blue tinge to it. When you stopped to watch, you could see the ice was moving in the currents very quickly.

Today is the our first day of spring and we did get suprised. The traffic was bad around 5 p.m. The snow packed into ice, and it didn't seem like our snow removal or salt trucks were out.

More running water. If you look at this sign you can see the drops of water.
Today as I was walking I heard the sound of running water. This isn't the best photo, but you get the idea. The water is brown.
