The Malt Shoppe on Superior Street near Fitger's is a popular place. We walked down to get and ice cream cone and we walked down the stairs to the Lakeshore. There was a party ship on the water and we could hear a crowd having fun. It is still a little cold though.

Jay Cooke State Park is about 25 miles east of Duluth. I went there today. It was very pretty.
This acutually is in the middle of the city. It is on Third Street on Oberavtion Hill just before you head downhill into Lincoln Park
This is an interesting building on the corner of 4th East Street and 7th Avenue East. The pawn shop is closed now and the top part of the building is acutally the corporate headquarters for Guardian Pest Control . They have painted the outside of the building a couple times in the past three years. I don't know how they choose the color gray, but at least they care enough to keep it up. Guardian has the whole side of the block. Further on down is a garage and parking lot for thier fleet of pick ups.
In the background is a building painted to look old style. It is the building that houses Life House. A hang out an program for trouble and or homeless youth. This building downtown houses and alternative high school Harbor City High School. Most of the classes are on the floor with the rounded windows and curtians.
I took this while on Michigan Street in Lincoln Park. I just pulled the car over. The little sturcture on top of the hill is Enger Tower.
