I took this photo on Friday. I actually saw the WHOLE rainbow arching out over East Hillside. Yes, I tried to chase it, but it soon disappeared.

Clean water?

Duluth is a politically active small city. Here a man stands out in the rain at the corner of Lake Avenue and Superior Street. I actually took photos today that are more pretty or aesthetically pleasing, but I thought I would post this photo for those of you who are following Duluth Daily Photo but never been here. Rallies, marches and people holding signs and banners are not uncommon. What is also fun for me is that often time when I see these people; I recognized them. Seen here is Mike Solon.

Anderson Furniture

There are several furniture stores and warehouses in Lincoln Park/West End. This is Anderson Furniture on 2032 W. Superior St. I like that I also got a shot of the city bus and a Prius.

Bricks and Leaves

Although many of the huge homes in Duluth were built with lumber, there are many brick homes too. I like the texture of the leaves and the bricks along with the colors. The basement of this home is made with Duluth Bluestone or Duluth Gabbro a form of igneous granite which is among the oldest rock in the world, nearly 1.7 billion years.

We have had a very rainy October. Here is the Duluth Steam Plant. I was trying to capture the orangish (sp) leaves in the foreground of the photo, but a person can't really see them. Still, the photo is kinda neat. You get an idea of our weather today.
